Legal Consequences: Man Imprisoned for Intimidating FRSC with Mob Action
A Magistrate Court in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State, has sentenced Nuhu Isah to six months imprisonment, with an option of a ₦20,000 fine, for criminally intimidating a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) patrol team.
The incident occurred on January 5, 2025, when Isah, a passerby, recorded the FRSC patrol team during their lawful duties and instigated passengers to mob the officers.
Reacting to the judgment, the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, emphasized the Corps’ unwavering commitment to road safety across Nigeria.
He reiterated that FRSC personnel would not be deterred by threats from miscreants and underscored the importance of respecting law enforcement officers performing their duties.
