Nigeria’s Unity Challenged: Sunday Igboho Discusses Yoruba and Igbo Independence
Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reiterated his stance on Nigeria’s unity, suggesting that if the country isn’t functioning effectively, ethnic groups like the Yoruba and Igbo should consider going their separate ways.
In a recent video, Igboho expressed concerns over persistent issues such as corruption, insecurity, and economic challenges, which he believes have led many Nigerians to feel disillusioned with the nation. He specifically highlighted security lapses in Nigerian airports, noting that travelers’ belongings are often stolen, further diminishing national pride.
Igboho emphasized that if Nigeria continues to face such systemic problems, it might be better for various ethnic groups to pursue self-determination.
He expressed confidence that Yoruba youths, having gained valuable knowledge and experience from traveling worldwide, could transform the Yoruba nation into a modern, prosperous society akin to those in Europe.
