Breaking News: Tinubu’s Strategic Appointment of DSS Deputy DG Explained
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Folashade Arinola Adekaiyaoja as the Deputy Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
This appointment is notable as it marks the first time a Deputy Director General has been appointed in the DSS, aiming to enhance the agency’s operational efficiency.
Adekaiyaoja’s appointment was based on recommendations from the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Director General of the DSS, Adeola Ajayi.
This development is part of President Tinubu’s broader efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture. In August 2024, he appointed Adeola Ajayi as the Director General of the DSS, succeeding Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
