Intruder Incident: Saif Ali Khan Out of Danger Post Stabbing
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, was attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of January 16, 2025. The assailant entered Khan’s Bandra apartment around 2:30 a.m., confronting a female domestic employee who sustained injuries during the encounter.
Khan intervened to protect his staff, resulting in a scuffle during which he was stabbed six times, including a deep wound near his spine.
Following the attack, Khan was transported to Lilavati Hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. He underwent emergency surgery to address his injuries and is currently in stable condition, with medical officials confirming he is out of danger.
Mumbai police have launched an investigation into the incident, detaining several individuals for questioning. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the intruder accessed the apartment, as there were no signs of forced entry.
Khan’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two sons were present during the incident but were unharmed. In a statement, Kapoor Khan assured the public that the family is fine and requested patience while investigations continue.
The attack has raised concerns about the safety of celebrities in Mumbai, prompting calls for enhanced security measures in areas inhabited by film industry figures.
