A Long-Term Commitment: Erling Haaland’s New 9.5-Year Contract with Manchester City Until 2034
Manchester City has announced that Erling Haaland has signed a new long-term contract, extending his stay with the club until the summer of 2034.
This nine-and-a-half-year deal is unprecedented in the Premier League and reflects both the club’s commitment to Haaland and his dedication to Manchester City.
Since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has been prolific, scoring 111 goals in 126 appearances.
His contributions have been instrumental in Manchester City’s successes, including winning two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and the Champions League.
The new contract reportedly includes a significant salary increase, making Haaland the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
Additionally, any previous release clauses have been removed, solidifying his long-term commitment to the club.
Haaland expressed his happiness, stating, “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club.”
Manchester City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, added, “The fact he is signed for so long demonstrates our commitment to him as a player, and his love of this club.”
