Police Alert: Search Intensifies for Kidnapped Retired AIG’s Spouse
Mrs. Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, was abducted from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State on January 17, 2025.
The incident occurred as she was returning home; four masked gunmen intercepted her, forcibly removed her from her Lexus Jeep, and led her through a swampy area to an undisclosed location.
The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a search operation, deploying officers to comb the surrounding swampy terrain. Local community leaders, including the Baales of Warewa and Maaba, have been engaged to assist in the rescue efforts.
The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has been briefed, and all covert operations have been deployed to assist with digital intelligence to ensure she is rescued unhurt.
As of now, the kidnappers have not made any contact or ransom demands. The police urge the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could aid in the safe return of Mrs. Odumosu.
