Ondo Cult Clash: Infamous Cultist Wanted by Police Neutralized
On January 19, 2025, a 40-year-old man named Nasir Isiaka was fatally shot by two masked individuals in the LA Gbanasa area of Owo, Ondo State.
Isiaka, identified by the police as a notorious cultist, had been on their wanted list for his involvement in various criminal activities. During the #EndSARS protests, he allegedly attacked the Uso Police Division, stealing an AK-47 rifle and a bulletproof vest. Additionally, he was implicated in the murder of Adedeji Rafiu, also known as PA.
This incident follows a series of violent clashes between rival cult groups in Owo, which have resulted in multiple fatalities in recent weeks. The Ondo State Police Command has initiated an investigation into Isiaka’s death and is actively working to apprehend the perpetrators.
