Noise Pollution Crackdown: Why LASEPA Shut Down Ariba Bistro
The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed Ariba Bistro, a nightlife entertainment venue located within Martinos Hotel, over violations of noise pollution regulations.
This action is part of LASEPA’s ongoing efforts to address noise pollution and other environmental infractions across Lagos. In recent months, the agency has shut down several establishments, including churches, hotels, and entertainment venues, for failing to comply with environmental standards.
LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, emphasized the agency’s zero-tolerance policy towards violations that threaten public health and community harmony. He urged businesses and individuals to prioritize compliance with environmental laws to ensure a healthier and more sustainable environment for all Lagosians.
