Kuwait Police Nab Nigerian Robbers in Armed Heist
Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has arrested a Nigerian gang responsible for an armed robbery at a currency exchange office in the Mahboula area. The suspects stole foreign currencies valued at approximately 4,600 Kuwaiti dinars.
The gang meticulously planned the crime by monitoring exchange offices from neighboring rooftops to determine peak times. They also used stolen license plates to conceal the identities of the vehicles involved in the operation.
One suspect was apprehended in Mahboula and confessed to surveilling the location, informing his accomplice when the office was devoid of customers to facilitate the robbery.
The second suspect was arrested in the Al-Qurain Markets area, where authorities recovered the stolen money and a small bag containing the narcotic substance “shabu” (crystal meth) from his residence.
The suspects and the seized items have been referred to the competent Public Prosecution Office for necessary legal actions.
