Heroic Lagos Taskforce Saves Victim and Arrests Hit-and-Run Suspect
On January 21, 2025, the Lagos State Taskforce apprehended Dauda Bello, a resident of Adebayo Street, Oshodi, for reckless driving and involvement in a hit-and-run incident. Bello struck Oluwole, a resident of Ibafo, Ogun State, leaving him severely injured.
The Taskforce officers promptly rescued the victim and ensured he received immediate medical attention.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the accident resulted from overspeeding and reckless driving on Bello’s part.
The Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele, urged motorists to prioritize safety, stating, “Driving is not a race to a destination but a responsibility that requires patience and focus at all times.”
Bello is currently in custody and will be charged in court according to state laws. This incident underscores the Taskforce’s commitment to maintaining law, order, and safety on Lagos roads.
