Ogun Police Arrest Man with Homemade Gun in Robbery Attempt

In Ogun State, Nigeria, a suspected armed robber was apprehended by residents of the Iyana-Iyasi community in the Ota area while attempting to rob a woman.

The suspect, identified as Tunde Adebanjo, was caught in the act at approximately 6:30 AM. Upon his arrest, a locally made cut-to-size pistol and a Tecno phone were recovered from him.

Investigations revealed that the recovered Tecno phone belonged to the victim. The suspect has confessed to being a robber during questioning.

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further action.
