Lagos Two-Storey Building Collapse: Latest Updates and Recovery Efforts
A two-storey building collapsed in Lagos, resulting in the recovery of two bodies: an adult male and a young boy. Five adult males with serious injuries have been rescued and taken to the hospital. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with authorities indicating that more individuals may still be trapped under the rubble.
Eyewitnesses reported that most of the victims were construction workers who were inside the building at the time of its collapse, which occurred at approximately 3:00 PM. Two victims have been successfully rescued alive, while efforts are ongoing to locate and extricate others still trapped under the debris.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed the incident and is coordinating the rescue efforts. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation.
