Final Year Exams Called Off at Ambrose Alli University: What Led to the Decision?
Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State, has canceled all final year examinations conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, due to unauthorized celebratory activities by graduating students.
The affected departments include Mass Communication, English, and History and International Studies within the Faculty of Arts.
According to a statement by the acting Registrar, Ephraim Ikharehon Isiraojie, the students engaged in activities such as car displays, use of sirens, money spraying, loud celebrations, and obstructing campus access roads, all of which violated the university’s directives against on-campus celebrations.
The university management has stated that the cancellation serves as a deterrent to other students and will announce a rescheduled date for the affected examinations in due course.
