Girl Accused of Poisoning Kids with Soup Reveals Shocking Truth
In a recent incident in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, a young girl was initially accused of poisoning five children—four boys and one girl—after they consumed pepper soup she had prepared. However, subsequent investigations revealed that the children died from inhaling generator fumes, not from poisoning.
The girl, in a video statement, expressed her distress over the false accusations and clarified that she had no intention of harming the children. She explained that after preparing the pepper soup, the children ate and later went to sleep in a room where a generator was running. Unbeknownst to them, the generator’s exhaust fumes filled the room, leading to their tragic deaths.
Authorities have since confirmed that the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning from the generator fumes. This incident underscores the dangers of using generators in enclosed spaces and the importance of ensuring proper ventilation to prevent such tragedies.
