
Small Lighter and Two Others Killed in Cult Clash
On February 1, 2025, a violent clash between rival cult groups in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a notorious figure known as ‘Small Lighter’.
The incident occurred around 8:30 PM near the Mile 3 Diobu axis, causing panic among residents and traders. Eyewitnesses reported that the confrontation involved members of the Icelanders and Deygbam cult groups, who engaged in a fierce battle over territorial control and supremacy.
‘Small Lighter’, identified as a key member of the Icelanders, was reportedly targeted due to his influence and activities in the area.
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible and restore peace in the affected community.
