Latino Men Detained by Fraudulent Immigration Official
A man posing as an immigration agent has been charged after reportedly detaining Latino men and threatening them with deportation. The incident occurred in Los Angeles, where the suspect confronted two Latino men, falsely claiming to be a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.
In a video shared online, the man, dressed in tactical gear, can be heard telling the men, “You’re going back,” as he ordered them to sit on the ground and restrained them using plastic zip ties. Witnesses called the police, who arrived and arrested the impersonator.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect had no affiliation with ICE or any government agency. He now faces charges of false imprisonment, impersonation of a federal officer, and hate crimes.
