Umo Eno on Continuing His Late Wife’s Legacy
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has recently addressed speculations surrounding his personal life following the passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, in September 2024.
In response to rumors about remarrying, Governor Eno made it clear that he has no plans to marry a new wife. He expressed that no one can fill the void left by his late wife, whom he described as irreplaceable.
He also emphasized his focus on continuing her legacy, particularly through her pet project, the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).
His daughter, Helen Obareki, has been appointed to oversee the Office of the First Lady to ensure the continuation of the initiatives started by his wife.
He added;
“No one will be able to fill that vacuum (of her deceased wife). Her legacy will live in our hearts. She had started projects and I had to introduce our daughter, Helen, to the First Lady.
“So she would step in to coordinate that office so that the office would still be active in doing the programmes that she had started”.
