Columbus Irisoanga: A Life in Film
Veteran Nollywood actor and academic, Dr. Columbus Irosanga, has passed away. His death was announced on February 6, 2025, by fellow actress Hilda Dokubo, who expressed her sorrow on Instagram, stating, “There can’t be shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers state Nollywood.”
Dr. Irosanga was renowned for his memorable role as ‘Igbudu’ in the 2001 Nollywood classic, ‘Isakaba’. Beyond his acting career, he was a senior lecturer in the Theatre Arts department at the University of Port Harcourt, contributing significantly to both the Nigerian film industry and academia.
