Concealed Weapon Discovery: Lagos Arrests Suspected Criminal
On February 7, 2025, Lagos State Police Command officers apprehended 24-year-old Wisdom Obi during a routine patrol at Abule Ado bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Amuwo Odofin. Obi was riding an unregistered motorcycle when stopped by the police.
Upon searching him, authorities discovered a Brownie pistol and 13 rounds of live ammunition concealed inside an MP3 radio. The suspect was taken into custody, and the recovered items were documented as exhibits. Investigations are ongoing.
In a related development on the same day, officers from the Orile Iganmu Division arrested four individuals—Kadir Ibrahim, Ifeanyi John, Oduwole Shola, and Rilwan Olajuwon—while they attempted to rob passengers of a broken-down vehicle at the Ascon White Sand area of Orile Iganmu. The suspects are currently in custody as investigations proceed.
