Arrests Made: Murder and Traffic Robbery in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has recently made significant strides in combating crime within the state. On February 7, 2025, officers from the Orile Iganmu Division apprehended four individuals—Kadir Ibrahim, Ifeanyi John, Oduwole Shola, and Rilwan Olajuwon—who were allegedly attempting to rob passengers of a broken-down vehicle at the Ascon White Sand area. These suspects had been posing as street traders to target unsuspecting motorists.
In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man named Wisdom Obi was arrested at Abule Ado bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Amuwo Odofin. Upon searching him, officers discovered a Brownie pistol and 13 rounds of live ammunition concealed inside an MP3 radio. Obi was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm.
