On February 9, 2025, President Donald Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, watching the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 40–22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Prior to the game, in a pre-recorded interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, President Trump discussed various topics, including his collaboration with Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He praised Musk’s efforts to identify and eliminate government waste, expressing confidence in Musk’s ability to uncover “hundreds of billions” in unnecessary spending within the Education and Defense Departments.
