
Abduction of Students in Ondo State: A N15 Million Demand
On Saturday, February 8, 2025, three individuals were abducted near Oke Oge, a settlement close to Oba Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. Initial reports identified the victims as students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA), undergoing Industrial Training.
However, the institution’s management later clarified that the abductees are graduates who have completed their National Diploma programs and are currently engaged in their mandatory one-year Industrial Training.
The kidnappers have contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of N15 million for their release.
In response to the incident, the Ondo State Police Command and the Amotekun Corps have deployed operatives to the area in an effort to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
