Ruggedman’s Legal Perspective on Campus Altercations
Nigerian rapper and activist Ruggedman has offered a legal perspective on a recent altercation between a student and a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik). In his commentary, Ruggedman stated, “If your hand no stretch to her, she no go bite you,” suggesting that the lecturer may have initiated physical contact, prompting the student’s defensive reaction.
He emphasized that if the lecturer had not reached out to the student, she would not have had the opportunity to bite him. Ruggedman further noted that the student could claim self-defense, asserting that she acted to protect herself from the lecturer’s advances.
The incident, which occurred at the Faculty of Arts in Unizik, has garnered significant attention on social media platforms. A video shared by @unizikgist on Instagram provides details of the confrontation between the student and the lecturer.
