Kim Sae-ron: A Life Cut Short
South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was found deceased at her home in Seongdong District, Seoul, on February 16, 2025. A friend, who had planned to meet her, discovered her body and notified the authorities. Police have stated that there are no immediate signs of foul play, but an investigation into the cause of her death is ongoing.
Kim Sae-ron began her acting career at the age of nine and gained prominence through roles in films such as “The Man from Nowhere” and “The Neighbor.” In May 2022, she was involved in a drunk driving incident in Seoul’s Gangnam District, which led to significant public scrutiny and a fine of 20 million won. Following this event, she retreated from the public eye and faced challenges in resuming her acting career.
At the time of her passing, Kim had recently completed filming for the movie “Guitar Man.”
