
Moshood Jimoh Takes Office as Lagos Police Commissioner
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State. Prior to this role, Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police for the Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.
Jimoh, an indigene of Kwara State, has held several key positions within the Nigeria Police Force, including Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner of General Investigation.
His extensive training encompasses both local and international programs, such as the Combat Operations Course at the Mobile Training College in Maiduguri, participation in the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan, and specialized courses in the United States, China, and South Korea.
Jimoh succeeds CP Ishola Olanrewaju Olawale, who assumed duty in September 2024 as the 40th Commissioner of Police for Lagos State.
