Court Appearance for Man in Video Distribution Case
In Ibadan, Oyo State, a 44-year-old man named Gbenga Oluwatomisin has been arraigned at the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly distributing an intimate video involving himself and his former partner to her husband. The charges against him include conspiracy and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
According to the prosecution, the incident occurred on January 7, following the reconciliation of Kehinde and Toyese Olayiwola, who had previously separated. During their separation, Toyese reportedly engaged in a relationship with Oluwatomisin. Upon her decision to end the affair and reunite with her husband, Oluwatomisin allegedly sent explicit videos and voice recordings of their encounters to Mr. Olayiwola.
Oluwatomisin has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The presiding Chief Magistrate, Olabisi Ogunkanmi, granted him bail set at N100,000, with the condition that a blood relative serves as surety. The case has been adjourned for further hearing.
