Violent Dispute: A Police Officer’s Domestic Tragedy

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, a tragic domestic dispute occurred in the Ita-Eku area along Igirigiri Road in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, resulting in the deaths of a senior police officer and his wife. The officer, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Caleb, and his wife, Tate, reportedly engaged in a heated argument over allegations of infidelity.

The confrontation escalated, leading to a violent altercation where both individuals inflicted fatal injuries on each other. The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident, stating that a knife was recovered at the scene and that investigations are ongoing.
