Abia Incident: Officers Under Investigation for Alleged Civilian Mistreatment
The Abia State Police Command has initiated an investigation into a viral video showing police officers allegedly manhandling an elderly man on Lagos Street, Umuahia, on February 20, 2025. The officers involved have been identified and are currently undergoing interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa condemned the unprofessional conduct and emphasized the command’s commitment to a competent, law-abiding, and community-friendly police force.
