
Professor Anosike Honored as African Leadership Person of the Year
Professor Charles Anosike, the Director General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has been honored with the African Public Sector Leadership Impact Award at the 14th African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Ceremony. The prestigious event took place from February 21 to 22, 2025, at the Casablanca Marriott Hotel in Morocco.
In addition to receiving this accolade, Professor Anosike was inducted into the African Leadership Council, joining a distinguished group of leaders committed to advancing pan-African objectives. This council includes notable figures such as H.E. Andry Rajoelina, President of Madagascar; Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda; H.E. Jakaya Kikwete, former President of Tanzania; and H.E. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
