60-Year-Old Woman Taken from Kano Medical Facility
On February 19, 2025, suspected kidnappers abducted 60-year-old Talatu Ali from the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Dawanau in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State. Ms. Ali, accompanied by her son, Nasiru Aliyu, and cousin, Aliyu Garba, both from Yar Gaya Village in Dawakin Kudu LGA, was awaiting medical consultation when she disappeared from the hospital premises.
Despite extensive searches, her whereabouts remained unknown until February 21, when her family received a call from an unknown number confirming that she was in the caller’s custody. The family has reported the incident to the Dawanau Divisional Police Headquarters, and authorities are currently investigating the abduction.
