Urgent Call for Assistance: Afenifere Leader’s Plea

Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, has been abducted, and his captors are demanding a ransom of ₦100 million for his release. In a distressing video circulating online, Ojajuni is seen with an AK-47 pointed at his chest, pleading for public assistance to secure his freedom. He appeals to Nigerians, stating that contributions of any amount could help save his life.

Ojajuni has been held captive since February 17, 2025. The kidnappers initially issued a 48-hour ultimatum, threatening to kill him if the ransom was not paid. This deadline has reportedly been extended to 3:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025.

In the video, Ojajuni appears weak and distressed, mentioning that he is suffering from injuries sustained during his captivity. His family has also appealed to the public for financial assistance, emphasizing that no amount is too small to contribute towards the ransom. A bank account belonging to his wife, Omolara Ojajuni, has been made public for donations.
