Island Boys' Franky Venegas Faces Arrest for Gun Charges

Franky Venegas of Island Boys Arrested on Drug Offenses

Franky Venegas, known as one half of the “Island Boys” rap duo, was arrested in Naples, Florida, on Sunday, February 23, 2025, on gun and drug charges. The 23-year-old faces charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of an altered firearm.

The arrest occurred after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Corvette that failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Oil Well Road. Venegas was identified as the passenger, while 25-year-old Olivia Dubois was driving with an expired registration and license plate.

During the stop, deputies observed a clear plastic bag containing white pills on the passenger-side floorboard. A subsequent search revealed seven oxycodone pills and five oxycodone-acetaminophen pills. Venegas denied ownership of the pills but claimed to have a prescription, which he could not provide. Additionally, authorities discovered a Glock firearm that had been spray-painted blue with its serial number removed, along with a plastic straw containing white powder inside a brown bag on the passenger side.

Venegas was transported to the Naples Jail Center, where he awaits his arraignment.

This incident adds to Venegas’s legal troubles, as he has faced previous accusations of domestic abuse and battery.
