Investigation Launched After Three Women Found Dead
Three American women were found dead in their hotel room at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro, Belize, over the weekend. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Kaoutar Naqqad, 24-year-old Imane Mallah, and 26-year-old Wafae El-Arar.
Surveillance footage showed the women entering their room on Thursday night and not emerging thereafter. After repeated attempts to contact them on Friday, hotel staff entered the room on Saturday morning and discovered the unresponsive bodies. First responders observed froth on the women’s mouths, suggesting possible drug overdoses.
A thorough search of the scene revealed the presence of alcohol and gummies, but no signs of forced entry or visible injuries. Authorities are investigating the origin and nature of the gummies to determine if they contained any substances that could have contributed to the deaths. The investigation is ongoing, and the exact cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
