
Lagos Assembly Workers Face Court Over DSS Assault Charges
A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the remand of three Lagos State House of Assembly employees—Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Adetu Adekunle, and Fatimoh Adetola—in the custody of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) over allegations of assaulting DSS officers.
The incident reportedly occurred on February 17, 2025, at the Lagos State House of Assembly complex. The defendants are accused of conspiring to obstruct and assault DSS officers during the performance of their official duties. Additionally, they face charges of cyberstalking for allegedly recording and disseminating false information on social media to incite public disorder. The court has scheduled their arraignment for February 26, 2025.
