Ogun Cult Conflict Claims Life in Shooting Incident
In recent weeks, Ogun State has experienced a surge in violent incidents attributed to suspected cult-related activities. On February 16, 2025, 22-year-old Razak Jimoh was brutally attacked by two masked assailants in the Lantoro area of Abeokuta.
The attackers chased him into a residence, dragged him out, inflicted an axe wound on his leg, and fatally shot him in the head. The Ogun State Police Command, through spokesperson Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and has launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of suspected cult-related violence in the region. Earlier in the same week, three individuals were killed in separate clashes in Lagos and Ogun states. These attacks have raised concerns among residents and authorities about the escalating cult activities.
