Movie Theater Incident During Captain America Film
On February 25, 2025, during a screening of “Captain America: Brave New World” at Liberty Cinema in Wenatchee, Washington, the theater’s ceiling collapsed.
Footage released by the Wenatchee Valley Firefighters shows debris covering seats and aisles as the film continued to play. Fortunately, only two patrons were present at the time, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation.
“Captain America: Brave New World,” featuring Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America and Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, debuted over Presidents’ Day weekend, grossing $100 million domestically and $92.4 million internationally.
