Hotel Guests Abducted by Fake EFCC Officials in Niger
On February 27, 2025, armed assailants disguised as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) abducted ten individuals from the White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Minna, Niger State.
The attackers arrived in the early hours, disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras, and forcibly entered guests’ rooms, leading to the abduction.
This incident has raised significant concerns about security protocols and the potential for criminal elements to impersonate law enforcement agencies to carry out such acts. Local authorities are actively investigating the situation, but as of now, the whereabouts of the kidnapped individuals remain unknown.
