Jandor Exits PDP: A Shift in Lagos Politics

Former Lagos Candidate Jandor Leaves PDP Behind

Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The former Lagos State governorship candidate made this declaration during a press conference held at his Ikeja office on March 3, 2025.

Jandor cited several reasons for his departure, including persistent internal conflicts, betrayal by party leaders, and a lack of discipline within the party. He expressed that these issues had severely undermined collective efforts and made genuine progress unattainable.

Reflecting on his 2023 gubernatorial campaign, Jandor lamented that despite running on a platform of transformation and development, internal betrayals and a lack of commitment from the party leadership hindered their chances, leaving many supporters disillusioned.

While he did not disclose his future political plans during the briefing, Jandor assured that he would announce his next move in the coming months. Notably, prior to joining the PDP in January 2022, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and led the Lagos4Lagos Movement, advocating for internal democracy within the APC.
