
Ebonyi Police Seize Human Skulls and Recover Stolen Bikes
The Ebonyi State Police Command has recently made significant arrests, uncovering illicit activities involving human skulls and stolen tricycles.
Arrest of Suspect with Human Skulls and Firearms:
On March 5, 2025, the police apprehended Chigozie Ovuta in Okoffia community, Ezza South Local Government Area, while he was in possession of two human skulls and three locally made firearms. During interrogation, Ovuta confessed that the skulls were intended for the preparation of a spiritual concoction. Authorities are actively pursuing others implicated in this case.
Recovery of Stolen Tricycles and Arrests of Syndicate Members:
In a separate operation, the police uncovered a syndicate involved in altering the colors of stolen tricycles from neighboring states. This led to the arrest of four individuals: Nweke Chukwudi, Nwankwo Obinna, John Abba, and Uche Abba.
Three stolen tricycles were recovered, and the suspects admitted to receiving these vehicles from accomplices for color modifications. They are currently in police custody and will be charged in court upon completion of investigations.
