Health Scare for Aleksandar Mitrovic in Saudi Arabia
Former Premier League striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, currently playing for Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal, was recently hospitalized due to a rapid heartbeat, medically termed arrhythmia.
This incident occurred shortly after his return from a hamstring injury, during which he scored in Al-Hilal’s 2-0 victory over Al-Fayha.
Al-Hilal’s medical team has advised Mitrovic to rest and is closely monitoring his condition. It remains uncertain whether he will participate in the upcoming AFC Champions League Elite last-16 match against Pakhtakor.
Since joining Al-Hilal in 2023 from Fulham, Mitrovic has been a prolific scorer, netting 13 goals in 14 league matches this season.
Prior to his move, he had notable stints with Newcastle United and Anderlecht.
