President Trump to Buy Tesla in Solidarity with Elon Musk
President Donald Trump has announced his intention to purchase a new Tesla vehicle to express support for Elon Musk amid recent boycotts and a significant decline in Tesla’s stock value. The boycotts and protests have emerged in response to Musk’s role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where he has implemented substantial federal spending cuts, leading to public backlash.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, President Trump praised Musk’s contributions, stating:
“Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics… are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla… In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American.”
Despite not being permitted to drive while in office, President Trump ceremonially received a red Tesla Model 3 at the White House, presented by Musk. He remarked that the vehicle would be available for White House staff use.
Elon Musk expressed gratitude for the President’s support and announced plans to double Tesla’s vehicle output in the United States within the next two years, attributing this expansion to the current administration’s policies.
