A fuel tanker explosion occurred under the Otedola Bridge in Lagos State on March 11, 2025, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.
The incident took place around 8:18 p.m. when a 50,000-liter gasoline tanker overturned, leading to an explosion that ignited surrounding vehicles and structures. Emergency response teams promptly arrived to extinguish the flames and secure the area.
This event recalls a similar tragedy from June 28, 2018, when a tanker explosion on the Otedola Bridge claimed 12 lives and destroyed over 50 vehicles.
