Delta Ransom Case: Suspected Kidnapper Taken into Custody

​The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Abdulahi Isah, in connection with the abduction of a woman in Ibusa community, Oshimili North Local Government Area. The victim was kidnapped on March 7, 2025, and a ransom was subsequently paid for her release.

On March 12, 2025, acting on information provided by an individual who delivered the ransom and other items to the kidnappers, the Divisional Police Officer of Ibusa mobilized a patrol team alongside local vigilantes to the bush area where Isah was apprehended. The suspect is currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate incident, four suspected kidnappers were killed following a gun duel with the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) along the railway line in Agbarho Community. The operation led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle with a magazine.

The suspects sustained serious gunshot injuries during the exchange and were confirmed dead at the General Hospital, Ughelli. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang.
