
25-Year Sentence for Man Convicted of Double Murder
On March 24, 2025, the Pretoria High Court in South Africa sentenced 63-year-old Paul Philipps Prinsloo to 25 years in prison for the premeditated murder of his 58-year-old wife, Magdalenne Prinsloo.
The court found that on June 15, 2024, Prinsloo fatally assaulted Magdalenne at their residence in Pretoria following a domestic dispute. During sentencing, the judge emphasized the severity of the crime and its devastating impact on the victims’ family and community.
Prinsloo is required to serve at least 20 years before being eligible for parole.
