Natasha Akpoti Defies Ban for Kogi Central Visit

Kogi Central: Akpoti Moves Forward with Controversial Visit

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has reaffirmed her intention to visit Kogi Central for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, despite the Kogi State Government’s recent ban on public gatherings and rallies. In a statement released by her media team, she emphasized her commitment to engaging with her constituents during the festive period and assured that all necessary arrangements have been made for a successful event.

The state government announced the ban on public gatherings, citing intelligence reports of potential security threats and plans by certain individuals to stage violent rallies under the guise of political and religious agitations.

In response to the government’s directive, the Kogi State Police Command has advised Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan to cancel her planned rally, expressing concerns that hoodlums might hijack the event, leading to a disturbance of peace.

Despite these warnings, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan remains resolute in her decision to proceed with the visit, urging her supporters to disregard rumors of cancellation and join her in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr. She maintains that her dedication to the people of Kogi Central is unwavering.
