Otedola Bridge Incident: Driver Saved from Falling Car
On April 7, 2025, a driver was rescued after his vehicle skidded off Otedola Bridge in Lagos. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) shared a video of the incident, showing the mangled car at the scene.
Emergency responders, including LASTMA officials, Federal Road Safety Corps personnel, and security agents, were present to assist. The driver was promptly transported to a hospital for medical attention.
Otedola Bridge has been the site of several accidents in the past. For instance, in September 2022, a driver was injured when his car fell from the bridge towards Berger.
Additionally, in September 2023, a truck loaded with wheat fell from the bridge, resulting in the tragic death of a motorboy.
