Meat Cleaver Assault: New York Man Arrested
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York, a 49-year-old man named Longqian Chen allegedly attacked four of his young nieces with a meat cleaver inside their home. The victims, aged 8, 11, 13, and 16, sustained serious injuries but are expected to survive. The 11-year-old girl managed to call 911, reporting that her uncle was attacking them.
Upon arrival, officers heard screams from within the apartment and forced entry, finding Chen near the entrance with a blood-covered meat cleaver. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, Chen advanced toward the officers, leading them to fire seven shots, striking him and ending the threat. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
