Jimmy Odukoya, Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, has shared a personal account regarding his decision to maintain his dreadlocks. Before resuming his pastoral duties, he sought divine guidance on his appearance and felt led by God to keep his hair.
To confirm this direction, he asked his sister, Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, to pray about it; she received the same instruction, reinforcing his conviction.
Pastor Odukoya also recounted a profound experience involving a woman from Zimbabwe who traveled to Nigeria after recognizing him from a vision she had in 2016.
In her vision, she saw a man with long hair wielding a sword that liberated her from personal burdens. Upon discovering Pastor Odukoya’s sermons online, she identified him as the figure from her vision, underscoring the significance of his appearance in his ministry.
These experiences have led Pastor Odukoya to view his dreadlocks as more than a personal choice, believing they play a role in his spiritual mission and connection with others.
