Obasanjo escapes Ethiopian Airlines crash
Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and 393 other passengers narrowly escaped a plane crash involving an Ethiopian Airlines flight on Friday.
According to preliminary reports, the aircraft developed a technical fault shortly after takeoff, forcing the pilots to make an emergency return. Panic broke out among passengers as the plane shook violently during the incident, but the crew managed to land the aircraft safely.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with passengers screaming and praying as the situation unfolded. Aviation authorities have since launched an investigation to determine the cause of the near-crash.
Obasanjo, who was on board for an official engagement, was seen calmly disembarking alongside other relieved passengers. No casualties or injuries were reported.
