Air Peace to employ 1,000 graduates
Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has announced plans to employ 1,000 fresh graduates as part of its expansion and youth empowerment drive.
The Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos, saying the recruitment initiative will provide young Nigerians with opportunities in aviation and allied sectors.
According to him, the airline’s rapid fleet expansion and growing domestic and international routes have created new demands for manpower. The recruitment drive will cut across flight operations, engineering, customer service, logistics, and administration.
Onyema noted that beyond offering jobs, Air Peace is committed to training and equipping successful candidates with skills to thrive in the global aviation industry. He stressed that empowering young people through meaningful employment is central to the airline’s corporate vision.
Industry observers described the move as timely, given Nigeria’s high youth unemployment rate. They also urged other private sector players to emulate Air Peace by investing in local talent.
Applications for the recruitment are expected to open in the coming weeks, with details to be published on the airline’s official platforms.
